No, but I don't like the name...(no offense) She will not get made fun of, but the name sounds kind of 1900's ish, but what do I know I am still young!

It is possible that she somehow gets stuck with the nick name Daphey because they are somewhat similar sounding. I don't think Daphey is a bad nick name at all and I personally wouldn't automatically associate it with Daphey Duck. If you don't like that nick name or have a problem with it you may want to reconsider.





I like my name but I have noticed people like pick out nicknames or shorten my name in some way regardless of weather or not I tell them that I prefer to go by my name as is!

Reply:Daphne and Daffy are two completely different names. I suppose if a kid has a particularly corny sense of humor, they might call her Daphne Duck. But, I highly doubt the name Daphne will make her a subject of ridicule.
