I live in Zone 4 (Minnesota) and I had planted a Daphne (Carol Mackie) this year. I want to make sure it will come back next year and was wondering what I need to do to make sure it doesn't die over the winter. Please help if you can. Thanks!
Is there anything I need to do to my Daphne plant right now?
There isn't a lot of care involved. If it makes you feel more comfortable you could add a thin layer (1") of mulch around the plant. However keep in mind that many daphnes, including Carol Mackie, are notorious for dying suddenly for no obvious reason, even in good soil with excellent drainage.
