I already read Rebecca and I'm planning to read their sequal Rebecca's Tale and Mrs. de Winter, but do you guys know any other books by Daphne du Maurier?

I loved "The House on the Strand" - man invents a drug that takes you back in time - fourteenth century or so. But, here's a twist - only his mind is in a castle in the Middle Ages - his body is still in the twentieth century with automobiles, technology, etc., but on the same spot as the castle was.

Reply:My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier is really great! I have to tell you that at the end of this book you are not sure of the real character of Rachel. Was she good or evil?





Jamaica Inn is another book by Daphne du Maurier, as is Frenchman's Creek. She also wrote the short story - The Birds - which Alfred Hitchcock made into a movie.
