Cupid is the real criminal here.
Apollo was as much a victim as Daphne
All Apollo did was run after and try to talk to the girl.
Apollo was poisoned/ drugged by cupids golden arrow
and Cupid shot Daphne with his lead one.
if not poisoned / drugged by cupid.
Apollo would not have chased after Daphne
he would have stopped when she said no..
if not poisoned / drugged by cupid
Daphne would have been willing to at least stop running and listen to Apollo.
Reply:Apollo could go for the temporary insanity plea. He was insanely in love with Daphne.
The old defense that she was asking for it usually doesn't work in the courtroom, and since she's a laurel tree, she has no way of testifying in this matter
