she was in the production on broadway but she didnt do the movie and no body seems to know why....

Why didn't daphne rubin vega do the movie rent?
She was fifteen years older than the 19-year-old character. While that works on stage, it would have been really obvious on the screen. Also, she was pregnant at the time of filming.
