Reply:Short synopsis: Rich handsome man meets mousey girl and marries her. Takes her home to formidable housekeeper who hates her and keeps telling her she isn't a patch on the previous wife who capsized her boat and drowned. Boat found months later with suspicious holes in cabin deck. Coroners inquiry implies that husband murdered her (she being a bit of a trollop). Investigation discovers that previous wife had cancer and was going to die anyway and committed suicide and made it look like murder to implicate husband. Cheers all round. Everybody drives home to find that mad housekeeper was a bit miffed that wife didn't tell her about cancer and burns the mansion down and falls, screeching, into the flames. Husband and new wife live happily ever after.

Reply:If other people have to make the time to do thier homework, and actually do the research, then you should, too. It's a cop out to ask people to give you the synopsis of the book. I did a full time degree and worked as well, so if I can do it then you don't have any excuse. Also, people post all sorts of crap on here, so you can't always trust what they say, and base an essay on it.
