What Is the Symbolism in Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier?

I need a repetitive symbol in the book and the purpose for which it is used

What Is the Symbolism in Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier?
What about the letter "R"? It's on the book of poetry, the dedication, and on the handkerchief in the pocket of the raincoat, and on the appointment book in the morning room.

It was written in a way that made the letter stick out, always at the worst possible moment. In the book of poetry she begins to think Maxim actually likes her. And then She sees the inscription, as though Rebecca was so very alive and vivacious, that the person who had written was so spirited and full of life that she would never die, and that she held Maxim still.

In the morning room, it's up to the main girl to take charge of the household, and when she sees the "R", so vivid and strong, it seems that Rebecca is determined to be in control even there. And it is then that the main girl breaks the cupid figurine.

And in the raincoat, well, she had just spent a wonderful time with Maxim among the valley wildflowers, and their scent was so very strong. And later, she put her hands in the pockets of the raincoat, and found a handkerchief embroidered with the letter "R", and that it smelled of the flowers.

Everywhere that the main decided to make her place, Rebecca came and corrupted it, destroying it, destroying her, intent on taking Maxim with her, away from the new Mrs. de Winter.
